So Long, New Orleans!

new orleans transitNew Orleans is officially over, hard to believe.

Heading home today. It’s been a hell of a good time out here in New Orleans. It might be awhile before I scrounge up enough money to take the next travel assignment – I know Landings and Takeoffs will be asking me do some work later this summer. As of right now I don’t really have a destination in mind but if my Nola trip was an example, I’m more accustom to just rolling with the punches.

I took an earlier flight out than Taylor as we’re not headed for the same destination, she’s going back to her place in Philly. I’ve got to make it out there sometime for a visit but I fear it probably won’t be my next traveling adventure. It’s officially on the short list however.

New Orleans is easily one of the most unique cities I’ve ever been in. No matter where you find yourself, the culture and the people are a constant part of everything you do, see, and hear. It’s hard to imagine a place like this, such a melting pot of culture, existing in one spot in the US. If you’re even debating taking a trip down here, come to New Orleans! They’re still recovering from a lot damage and other factors that spurned tourism.
