Since the early 1930’s, the Phoenix Open has been a chance for some of the best golfers in the world to come together in one of the most popular golf destinations in the world to showcase their talents in front of thousands of fans from around the southwest. From Tiger Woods to local favorite (and ASU alum) Phil Mickelson, the Waste Management Phoenix Open is host to golfers both world famous and up-and-coming.
Because of its location and vicinity to the Arizona State University campus, the Phoenix Open is known to many as one of the more rowdy and party-like golf tournaments. One of the more popular holes for spectators is the 16th hole because of the arena-like atmosphere created by the towering stands surrounding the hole.
For four days, the Waste Management Phoenix Open is host to over 500 thousand screaming fans that enjoy great food, drinks, and even a concert series that takes place throughout the evenings of the event.
