There are a number of college towns from coast to coast that are full of delicious restaurants, beautiful scenery and good times. Each one of these charming towns are definitely worth visiting once in your lifetime.
Athens, Georgia
The southern town of Athena, Georgia is home to a diverse art culture along with some award-winning eateries. All visitors must catch a live performance at the Georgia Theatre then head over to the Georgia Museum of Art. If you are looking for something a little crazier, visit this town around football season. Rowdy crowds take over the streets, plus if the team wins, the nightlife is always full of celebrations. When you aren’t cheering on football or catching some live-music, dine at one of Athens’ world-class restaurants serving up only the best Southern cooking.
New Haven, Connecticut
New Haven, Connecticut is where you can find the prestigious Yale. But it also has some of the best supreme pizza in the country. Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana is known for creating the white clam pizza and is a place every tourist must visit. The small town is also home to a number of dive bars serving up tasty cocktails. You can also enjoy touring one of New Haven’s many art galleries and museums. But don’t forget to make time to take in all of the city’s gorgeous history.
Eugene, Oregon
Oregon is known to be one of the most beautiful states in the U.S., so it is no surprise that the city of Eugene is a college town everyone should try to visit. The University of Oregon calls Eugene home and so does over 500 species of trees. There are a slew of outdoor activities available like kayaking and rafting. Eugene also hosts a handful of amazing festivals each year like the Oregon Festival of American Music.
