Washington D.C.’s Top Restaurants

Washington D.C. is a large tourist destination. It happens to be home to historical buildings and also some of the best places to eat in the country. From sushi to exquisite meats to all-American bar food, there is something in Washington D.C. for everyone.

One of D.C’s hidden gems is the Maple Ave Restaurant. It is a small, hole in the wall place, but the menu includes big flavors with a blend of Asian, Latin American and French food. They serve delicious lunch and dinner all week and also an elegant brunch on the weekends. Maple Ave Restaurant supports local farms use locally sourced ingredients. The dinner menu includes beer-braised beef cheek or saffron chicken. For brunch, the restaurant serves almond ricotta pancakes or the oyster mushroom omelet.

Granville Moore’s

Granville Moore’s has the largest selection of Belgian beer in the Mid-Atlantic area. They have 11 different kinds on tap and over 50 in a bottle. The menu is full of gourmet bar food like mussels. The restaurant has said they go through 1,200 pounds of mussel and 1,400 pounds of potatoes every single week.

The Italian restaurant is known to serve some of the best comfort food around. It is located in the city’s Chinatown and opened in 2008. The menu includes delicious pizza and pastas with a great authentic taste. The 2nd floor is a ham bar, which has 6 seats that face the kitchen so you can watch fresh prosciutto being made.

Oya Restaurant & Lounge

The Oya Restaurant and Lounge is a very upscale and elegant restaurant. The menu is full of innovative and exquisite dishes. The atmosphere is great the restaurant is decorated with white leather and mirrors. The menu has items like the hamachi jalapeno sushi roll, Lobster mac and cheese and more Asian-inspired dishes. Their sushi and cocktail menu is also very impressive.
